Tral: Locals from Dadsara Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district today alleged that: “Army has enforced a shutdown in the area.”
The warning from Army came after a stone-pelting incident in the area on Monday evening.
As per routine according to locals an army patrolling party was passing through Dadsara area on Monday evening when a group of youth pelted stones on them. Locals said that stone-throwing youth damaged the windowpanes of Army Casper vehicles.
“Shortly after the incident, army soldiers barged into the house of Village Headman and directed him to inform shopkeepers to close their shops from Tuesday. Army soldiers also entered the houses of few citizens and threatened them of dire consequences in case they resume their business from Tuesday,” said a group of villagers.
All the shops and business establishments are shut in Dadsara area while skeletal movement of people and transport was observed on the roads.
Villagers said that army soldiers asked them either pelt stones or do the normal business.
When contacted, Srinagar based Defense Spokesperson said that he will ascertain the facts.
