Shopian: A shutdown is being observed for the 3rd consecutive day South Kashmir’s Shopian district today against the arrest of two youth.

The arrests had sparked violent protests and clashes in the town while a youth had suffered critical pellet injuries.

All the shops and business establishments are shut while transport is off the roads.

Since January 24, the town has remained open for two days only.
