Non local militant Abu Hamas burried in Boniyar area Baramullah

Baramulla: Non local militant Abu Hamas who was one among the three militants killed in Balhama encounter in the outskirts of Srinagar city was burried by authorities in Boniyar area of North Kashmir’s Baramullah district.

Non local militants and unidentified bodies killed in gunfights are burried in Boniyar area in Kashmir.

Government had stopped the practice of handing over bodies of non local militants to locals after tens of thousands of people participated in the funeral procession of Lashkar-e-Taiba Commander Abu Qasim few years back.

Official sources said that the charred body of Abu Hamas was recovered under the debris yesterday and was buried with the help of local Auqaf committee at Sheeri Boniyar late Saturday night.

The militant was killed along with his two associates Owais Ahmed Bhat of Tral and Shabir Dar of Aghanzpora Awantipora in a gunfight with forces in Balhama village of Khanmoh in outskirts of Srinagar city.
