Ramban slide cleared, stranded vehicles on Kashmir highway allowed to move ahead

Ramban: Authorities on Thursday evening allowed the stranded vehicles on Srinagar-Jammu highway to move ahead after the road was cleared at Maroog area in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A landslide had hit the road at Maroog on Wednesday. “We had pressed men and machinery into service immediately to clear the highway,” said an official. He said that stranded traffic as allowed to move in one-way after clearing the slide this evening.

Hundreds of people and vehicles were left stranded after landslides hit the highway.
